Kristin Stewart i don’t think is a bad actor. She’s just bad in this series. But you’ve read the books so you would know the characters better.

“and how the both of them can’t believe each other’s good fortune that the other person return their feelings” – this made sense and would be great if it was shown onscreen.

Howard is OK la, she came across as scary, fierce and yet vulnerable. I thought she was brilliant.

The biggest problem I have with the whole franchise is actually the actors. I still can’t get over the fact that Kristin Stewart was cast for this main role. She really really can’t act. Her expression remains the same throughout the entire movie. Even for her real life interviews, everything!

i ll have to admit that Rob Pat and Taylor Lautner’s acting improved though. I hope they have been taking acting classes. If so, Kristin should ask them which acting school they went to.. Taylor’s heartache was actually belieavable at times (when he was injured after the fight), but still not as poignant as it should be.

For a non-reader of the book series, I can imagine the confusion. They didnt developed the script enough for the audience to fully understand the love between Edward and Bella, Bella and Jacob, and how much she wants to be a vampire jus to be with Edward, and how Edward doesnt want her to lose her soul by becoming one, and how the both of them can’t believe each other’s good fortune that the other person return their feelings..i know, it’s like this crazy whirlwind of emotions rite?

Nevertheless, I think David Slade did a decent enough job. My summary :-the best actor was Bella’s father, best actress probably Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard was simply too cute and innocent looking for this villain role, i wish Bree (played by Jodelle Ferland) had more airtime cause i think she’s really good, and how I wish Kristin isnt the main star of this movie.

My verdict : 5.5/10 (that generous 1.5 was because I am a fan of the book)

I was pleasantly surprised too! caught this movie last night (hopefully i am back in your movie kaki book lol), and i have to say this is one of the better jackie chan movie of late.

Since he arrived in hollywood, to me, it jus got worse and worse. but perhaps cause he isnt the main star of this movie that kinda saved it.

Jaden Smith was simply adorable here n reminded me so much of his dad! i agree with u totally on the beginnign as well as it was too draggy. I know they want us to really understand his character but again, some scenes were unnecessary.

and I dont know why there isnt another younger looking chinese girl they could have casted…when the kiss scene happened, goodness me, dunno bout u but to me, it was quite disturbing…

Overall i would actually rate it 7 in my book! =)
