The Hurt Locker (8/10)

By Delrondu | Cinema

Definitely one of the better movies of last year. This dramatic thriller reminds of Saving Private Ryan, but on a much smaller scale.
The pacing could have been better and the movie shorter, but what it achieved overall successfully was to invoke the emotions of its audience from the inside. And this was due to its

The Informers (3/10)

By Delrondu | Cinema

A look at the rich and spoilt of the 80s, with all the sex and drugs and music to fill their time. And a movie for those who enjoy watching people who are worse off than they are as the characters had too much time on their hands and unknowingly destroy their own lives.

Year One (5/10)

By Delrondu | Cinema

The collaboration between Jack Black and Michael Cera is bound to happen. Sadly they brought nothing new to their characters. Black played his silly but optimistic alter ego, while Cera was the obedient but stubborn and pessimistic one.

Daybreakers (6/10)

By Delrondu | Cinema

When Ethan Hawke’s character tested a blood-substitute on a soldier and that soldier exploded, I was the only one who burst out laughing in the cinema. Fortunately, the movie got better from there.
This had a unique story. Whether or not the premise was sound is up for debate – how the world has taken over

An Amazing Conversation With A 4-Year-Old

By Delrondu | Confession, Info, Quote

An article was published that for a child between 0 and 3 years old, they may still remember the times when they were in the mother’s womb. I don’t have proof of such article but it was tested by a mother I know, who read that article.
The mother asked her four-year-old child if he remembered

Couples Retreat (4/10)

By Delrondu | Cinema

When you have funny actors like Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman and Malin Akerman; and none of the jokes achieved their intended effect, you can only really blame it on the writers and / or director.
But I think director Peter Billingsley wasn’t at fault. He created each scene quite well. So it’s really on the writers
