A Playful Misconception, A Childhood's Dream

Dubai drivers are crazy impatient. If you are driving a small saloon car, they will bully you and honk you; letting you know that you are driving too slowly even when you are going at 120 km/hr. If you are driving a bigger car like a four-wheel drive or a jeep, they will give you their patience a little bit more.

The worst and most ridiculous experience I had here while His was driving us to the Burj Al Arab, was at the traffic light. We were waiting for the light to turn and when it did, we got honked because we didn’t move soon enough. But the thing was, and I’m not exaggerating here, it has only been 1 second after the light turned, and he got the honk already. One second. What kind of an idiot was he?

No wonder the UAE has the worst death rate from car accidents in the world. And it’s usually the younger drivers involved. But obviously they don’t care.
