I started this wordpress blog back in 07.07.07.; and thinking back now, wow, so much have changed. Especially on a personal level, the growth and the journey have been astounding.

But there’s not much point looking back at the footsteps imprinted on the experience. What’s done is done and cannot be changed. As long as we’ve learned and remember the important lessons directed to us, they will live in our memories and give us their wisdom.

Wisdom. They say that with age comes wisdom. But that’s not where that ends. Because with wisdom comes happiness, and with happiness comes youth. So if you’re doing it right, as you get older, you actually get younger.

What we have to do now is look towards tomorrow while living in today. How will we make a difference in our world is up to us in the present. The choices that we make will add on to our legacy.

Yes, legacy. No word in the dictionary is too big or too small to apply unto ourselves. We are the heir to this planet and we are worthy of everything under the sun.

Nay, this is not possession or domination, nor is it contempt. This is all about living the dream. Nothing in this world is too big, or too small, to achieve. It is only a matter of recognising the choices in front of us.

Recognise and then realise; when to hold on and when to let go. When to strive for and when to give up. Make the choice and then follow through with the decision. That’s all there is to it.

So, I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking forward to 10.10.10. Who knows what it will bring? But life’s uncertainty is such a natural beauty. Anything can happen, and yet nothing will happen if we don’t take the action.

Yes, I don’t know about you but I’m sure I will make the most out of this journey from now till then because it will be a part of my legacy.

So until then. I leave you with a reminder for myself, something I wrote back in 1996 which means more to me now than before.

“Past is the yesterday that’s never meant to be repeated. And I choose not to reminisce for fear tomorrow lost as today is wasted.”
