2 Weeks Absent

First week was in Singapore. Well, not exactly. Took the Star Cruise Virgo from Singapore to Penang first then Phuket then back to Singapore. Three nights on the cruise ship and yet I didn’t get the chance to participate in any of the ship’s activities because every time I get back on the ship after visiting both Penang and Phuket, I was too tired already.
But the highlight on the ship was the very excellent food. Not too salty, not too sweet, almost perfect. And very fresh fish dishes. But while on the subject of food, I didn’t get to taste any of the local food in Penang nor Phuket. There just wasn’t enough time. Now I just need to find time to put up the pictues.
I left for Singapore on the Sunday, back on Friday. Was in Brunei on Saturday to tidy up work stuff and rest up, then off again on Sunday to Kuala Lumpur for Lihyi’s wedding. Monday was a public holiday and so I was at One Utama shopping and managed to catch The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (there’s a very cool story which will take one whole post).
Was at the KFC office on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Only the mornings because the afternoons were spent at KLCC. And between these three days, I caught five movies because I stayed near KLCC and most friends couldn’t make it down while other friends I had forgotten that I didn’t have their contacts with me after I changed to Xperia X1.
And I was back home on Thursday. And I’m ever more conscious now of my waistline. So conscious that I’ve decided to cut down on food and especially meat. My tummy looked bigger or it could just be in my head because I haven’t done any exercise in two weeks.
Just the other night I wanted some supper. I saw one of those butter cakes and took one thin slice, then a second thin slice; but the third slice I only took half and left the other half lying there, like naked and lonely. And it hit me, am I going to be this way now, only taking food half a portion and leaving the other half for someone else to wonder if they should take half a slice? My mom does this and it can be irritating sometimes. And here I am, like an old person now. Wow. Hitting 30 isn’t going easy on me.
