The Last Day
By Delrondu | Confession31 Dec 2008
It’s a beautiful morning and I think it’s going to be beautiful for the rest of the day. There are clouds covering the sky but it doesn’t look like it will rain. It’s not hot and humid but it’s cool and bright.
This year has passed by so quickly. It only really slowed down in the final quarter and I was able to stop and look at what has happened, and in a much clearer way than I ever could have. And realised that it hasn’t been a bad year.
I’ve got a new job, something which I am enjoying doing at the moment; an increase and addition in income; found out there are great spots to dive around Brunei; picked up new hobbies, sketching, body surfing, yoga; met so many new friends and a few that could be life long friends; a potential dance partner is in the works; no longer hesitant; and finally realised what I need to do to break the chains that bind.
But most importantly, 2008 has brought me closer to knowing myself and given me direction in life. Although the destination is still vague, but the journey to get there will be more meaningful, magical and memorable from here onwards.
I have some ideas on how to shape 2009 now. And I have a feeling it’s going to be wonderful and exciting. More new activities, more travelling around Asia, meeting more people. It’s definitely going to be different, and in a big big way.
I have not only grown, but also changed. A new dawn will usher in tomorrow. It is going to be a new day.
Great to see some positive feedbacks and looking forward to your CHANGE!
Wishing you the best for 2009!
