Brunei Dive Site (1) – Arun’s Wreck

Postponed these for too long but here they are.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that Brunei’s dive sites are nothing spectacular. That’s what I thought at first until ‘Cek Li brought me to two sites on 23 August. They were just fantastic.

Forget those (“official”) sites you can find on the internet. Forget those pricey deals that the corporate companies are offering you. Those sites are peanuts compared to what I saw here. And these are less than 20 metres deep so anyone can visit.

All these thanks to Chye Neng who was here on a working trip and decided to go for a dive. And best part was for once we didn’t have to carry and load our own tanks because ‘Cek Li only took us both for this trip. Well well well worth it!

So if you ever want to dive here, look for divemaster ‘Cek Li.

First site was Arun’s Wreck – named so because it was Arun who showed him the site. This site is home to multiple types of fish with big populations.

Here are two short clips I took at the site. These videos are the only things not spectacular from this diving trip.
