Blue Water and Cement Wreck (Post 1: Blue Water)

Two Sundays ago, I did my second dive in Brunei, visiting the Blue Water and Cement Wreck. There was the good and the bad between these two dives. The good being these are my first visit to actual ship wrecks, but the bad was I couldn’t equalise properly.

Immediately on descent on our first dive at Blue Water, I could feel my left ear was stuck. Hard as I tried, it just wouldn’t pop. After about 10 minutes of descending slowly with the occasional rise again to ease the pain, the left ear finally popped when I straighten myself and equalise. Then the descent was smooth, all the way down the 30 metres.

The visibility here wasn’t too bad, probably a little less than 10 feet. It was truly a different experience from coral diving. Oh, and this was the first time I tried my new camera housing that I just bought from Singapore. Finally, underwater pictures. Still new to this whole experience so I’m still learning how to shoot underwater.

Continued on the second post for Cement Wreck, but not before a gravity defying pose.
