Coffee Making

My recent Kota Kinabalu visit has brought me to a coffee making factory, Cap Kuda Coffee Company where they also give Barista courses. The owner, Mr Yap, was nice enough to give me a quick tour.

First the coffee beans and wheat are crushed separately:

Then they are roasted together:

Sugar and margarine are mixed in. Sometimes jagung and a bit of salt as well if it’s for the regional favourite Kopi-O. If it’s Espresso, then the beans will be plainly roasted.
