Actor

I have come to realise, during unfamiliar or those more formal situations, be it in meetings or encounter with people that are more ‘powerful’ – and I use that term very loosely – I often become somebody I’m not.

That’s not what I have come to realise actually, but what I have really come to realise is that I become somebody I’m not only because the real me is not a suitable person to be ‘let loose in public’.

That real me will, in my own little world of imaginations, be looked down upon; perhaps treated with no respect or ignored to one side as a useless garbage that is not recyclable.

But like I said, in my own little world, as if the world revolved around me, but as it really should though.

We are all actors. For fear, for acceptance, for recognition. In the real world, there isn’t a real ‘me’.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that, in this world you better be a somebody or you are a nobody. Sure you can be yourself and be happy, but then you will be nothing to everyone else.
