A Playful Misconception, A Childhood's Dream

The more technology surpasses man, the more difficult they are to understand.

The washing machine stopped. Two sets of vertical lights were blinking on the control panel. I thought it was done. I rinsed a pail and brought it in so I can empty out the machine. I opened the machine cover and picked a clothing… but it was wet. Usually it would have spun dry. But the whole stack was still wet. It’s not done yet.

I thought for a while and decide to close the cover and set the machine to ‘spin’. But immediately after closing the cover, the machine kicked to life and started moving on its own again. It’s continuing to accomplish what it started out with.

How the hell was I supposed to know what those blinking lights meant? They should have a LED monitor that explain the problem since technology is surpassing man.
